NAHS 2017 Ski Trip
On Wednesday, February 15, 56 students and 6 chaperones went on a trip to Windham Mountain, New York for a day filled with hills, falls and snow. Departing promptly at 6:30 AM from the high school, our North Arlington Vikings arrived at Windham, New York ready for a day of adventure. The six chaperones included: Mr. Marck, Mr. Hutchinson and Officer Scala who skied the intermediate hills, Ms. DuJak who got to show off her “expert” skiing abilities, Mrs. Morin who skied all over the mountain, and Mrs. Kaufman who stayed in the lodge and made sure that our belongings were safe and that everyone got hot chocolate!
All in all, the long day was filled with laughter and tumbles, in fact, there was one constant with everyone who went skiing: soreness for days after. Besides the soreness, there were, fortunately, no injuries and everyone came home tired yet happy. When asked about the trip, Mrs. Morin said that it was “a great time where NA Vikings got a taste of what real Vikings do for fun”!
