Welcome Dr. Yurchak
On January 20, 2015, Dr. Yurchak started his new position as North Arlington High School’s principal. Dr. Yurchak conducted an assembly for each grade level in order to introduce himself as our new principal and inquire about any pressing issues or concerns students may have about the school. During the duration of the assembly, we learned a multitude of interesting facts about Dr. Yurchak’s personal life and professional career.
Dr. Yurchak grew up and currently resides in Bayonne, New Jersey. He received his master’s degree from New Jersey City University and his doctorate from Kean University. Dr. Yurchak taught special education language arts to middle school students, before he advanced to teaching it at the high school level. His extreme passion for sports, baseball in particular, paved the way for him to play for many years, as well as becoming an avid baseball card collector.
Aside from baseball, Dr. Yurchak’s other passion is education. When asked about what he’s looking forward to seeing happen in North Arlington High School, his response was, “I look forward to seeing the students continue to do great work academically, while maintaining a positive school climate. I am particularly looking forward to growing with all of the students, staff, and community in the coming years.”
Overall, Dr. Yurchak is looking forward to seeing every single student at North Arlington High School be the best person they can possibly be.
Welcome to NAHS, Dr. Yurchak!
