The plot of Prisoners revolves around the story of two kidnapped girls, one of whom has a father who takes matters in his own hands by investigating further. The father, played by Hugh Jackman, takes action when he believes that the detective and the police are not spending enough time looking for his daughter. The detective, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, is the best at what he does and has solved every case he was assigned. In general, all of the actors give terrific performances.
Prisoners is one of the best thrillers that I have seen in years. It was very suspenseful and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The movie had amazing directing, writing, and cinematography; it has academy nominations written all over it. With that being said, this movie is very disturbing and it contains a couple of scenes which are really difficult to watch. However, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen, and it’s impossible to not recommend it because it’s so well made. Everyone should go see it because there are a lot of twists and turns. You, the viewer, will not regret seeing it.
