It’s that time of the year! The Vikings are getting excited and enthusiastic about their fall season sports. This was evident during our fall pep rally on Friday, September 23rd. The pep rally is the perfect time for bringing all Viking students together as one community and cheer for all upcoming sporting events. The spirit of all Vikings was seen throughout the gym as students dressed up in school colors and decorated the class bleachers.
There is always one special student who has the pleasure of the dressing up and being the Viking mascot. This year, senior Robert Mullan had the privilege of being the mascot and he performed his task well as he encouraged the crowd to cheer for all of our athletes. The Viking cheerleaders must also be recognized for their outstanding cheers, stamina and routines throughout the pep rally. Of course, the marching band and color guard gave the crowd superb performances that delighted all of the Vikings.
Being eager towards this fall season is not enough. Students need to show their support for all teams and athletes. Be certain to display the true Viking spirit by attending volleyball games, boys and girls soccer games and football games at Rip Collins field. Don’t forget to also support the band – band members practice diligently every day to perform at our football games on Fridays. Let’s all show our unity as Vikings and be present at all sporting events this fall.
