One of the school’s priorities has always been to make sure that every student in North Arlington High School has the best education in a good environment. Recently, N. A. High has developed a new program to help freshmen. The new program will enlighten freshmen and help them with any school or personal issues. “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference,” is the program’s motto.
The M.E.N.T.O.R. (Meeting Everyone’s Needs Together Our Responsibility) program will allow students the opportunity to speak with their teacher mentors. Mentors chosen to pilot the program this year have monthly meetings with the small groups of freshman assigned to them by the administration. Upper classmen have also been chosen to partake in this new program in order to facilitate not only the transition from middle to high school, but to offer support and advice as well.
This new M.E.N.T.O.R. program will ensure that each and every student gains more self-confidence and determination to succeed academically, athletically and personally.
