While college is still in the mist of every high school student, tuition is of great importance for the parents. Financial aid helps students and parents cope with the stress of paying for college and it also provides an opportunity for receiving scholarships. North Arlington High School is having a workshop on the 19th of January for all parents with students in grades 9-12.
At the workshop, presenters will review possible strategies for paying for college and guide parents through a new website (www.fafsa.gov) which informs them how to personalize income taxes. In addition, the website will explicate a threefold through which the government will give participants a grant that does not need to be paid for by the parents. The website also enables students to get loans for college that must be paid for after graduation. NAHS parents are encouraged to attend this workshop and begin stressing less about the financial burdens of higher education.
