On Saturday, March 24th, students from North Arlington High School participated in a Flapjack Breakfast where they served over 125 people at Applebee’s from 8-10 am. Applebee’s recently started this fundraiser for groups who are looking to earn money while participating in a fun event. Members of the National Honor Society dressed in blue Vikings with Heart t-shirts and served those who attended a pancake, egg and sausage breakfast. The money that was raised through this fundraiser was donated to the American Cancer Society in an effort to earn the most money possible in preparation for the Relay for Life in May.
North Arlington High School participates in this relay every year and this year the participants’ goals are higher than ever before. The start of the fundraising is just beginning. “The response from the community was encouraging. It was great to be able to raise $1,300 for Relay” and “This is just the beginning” said Ms. Rosolen – one of the organizers. Keep your eyes peeled for even more fundraisers for this cause.
