Remembering our Veterans, the troops and those who have died for our country is extremely important. As fellow Americans, we are lucky to have Memorial Day as a day of remembrance, gratitude and appreciation for all of the veterans. Some of the NAHS students and some of the faculty took it upon themselves to help the local Holy Cross cemetery place American flags on the graves of our fellow veterans. The students had a very rewarding and momentous experience. Mrs. Bratowitz and Mrs. Fuller were the teachers in charge. With the helpful aid of the workers at Holy Cross, students were able to finish placing flags on all of the graves.
We should all take a moment from the barbeques on this day and find the time to remember all of the brave men and women who have fought for our country. This is a perfect way for students to volunteer and not only help the community but the veterans and their families as well.
