The American rock band from Wilmette, Illinois is back on the scene after a 3 year hiatus. Fall Out Boy has announced that they are releasing a new album titled, “Save Rock and Roll” on May 7, which will be their first record release in 4 years. In addition, F.O.B. already has a tour set up for their new album and return to music which starts on May 14.
Fall Out Boy is known for their earlier albums “Take This To Your Grave, “From Under the Cork Tree” and “Infinity on High,” which were all a huge success in the U.S. Their first album “Take this to your Grave” produced singles, “Saturday”, “Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy” and “Dead On Arrival.” Sophomore album “From Under the Cork Tree” produced singles, “Sugar We’re Going Down” and “Dance, Dance”. Fall Out Boy’s third album, “Infinity on High” produced singles, “This Aint a Scene, It’s An Arms Race” and “The Take Over, the Breaks Over.”
The new single for their upcoming album is called, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark.” It shows a pop-like sound to the band, with very high vocals from their singer Patrick Stump. I think that this is a new chapter to Fall Out Boy’s career, and it should be a very interesting one, due to their past success. Tickets were on sale for their new tour and all the tickets sold out within three minutes, leaving many fans without any tickets. It is said that scalpers bought out a majority of the tickets and F.O.B. is sorry that scalpers took tickets away from fans, and are selling them for triple the price if not more. Hopefully, they will add more concerts to their sites so fans can go to a concert at a fair price.
