On Saturday, April 20th, 2013 the National Honor Society will hold their 2nd annual Flapjack breakfast. It will be held at Applebee’s in Kearny, NJ from 8-10am. The students will be selling tickets at school. Students, faculty members, and their families can contribute to the breakfast fundraiser by purchasing tickets. Guests will be served and greeted by our students, and have a delicious breakfast! The money will be donated to the National Cancer Society which will go toward our team’s goal for the Relay for Life which will occur in the month of May.
Rebecca Filgueiras, senior at NAHS states, “Last year was a huge success and we raised a lot of money, so hopefully we can even double the amount of money raised this year!” In addition, Rachel Fanaro said, “It was fun being able to serve people, especially since it is for a good cause!” The Relay for Life is an opportunity to celebrate the lives of people who have survived cancer, currently battling cancer, or have passed away due to cancer. Help the cause and support by participating in the Flapjack fundraiser and making a difference!
