As you all may know, Hayden’s Heart 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk is quickly approaching. The mission of this walk is to keep Hayden’s memory alive, as well as informing others of Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) which is responsible for the death of 1 out of 100 babies. Thanks to Hayden, families everywhere are provided with the finances needed to provide their babies with the proper care and medication that they need. There are many ways that you can become involved and make a difference in the lives of families that are going through a difficult time. For one, you can make a monetary or care packet donation. You can even volunteer and raise awareness by getting your friends and family involved as well.
An opportunity to volunteer is right around the corner. The 5k will take place on Saturday, March 7th at Riverside County Park (South Area) in North Arlington, NJ. You can register to run or volunteer by seeing a member of the SADD/ InterAct Club, Mrs. Fuller, or Mrs. McEntee. You can even register online. The cost of registration is $35. On top of that, you are encouraged to raise additional money by collecting from friends and family. This race is an excellent way to get involved in your community, get active, and aid families in this battle against CHD.
Participants who raise $150 will receive a #haydensheart shirt. Participants who raise $250 will receive a Hayden’s Heart sweatshirt. There is a prize for the person who raises the most money overall.
