College Choices for All
A few weeks ago North Arlington High School hosted a college fair to inform not just the upperclassmen, but the underclassmen as well, of the plethora of opportunities that exist beyond high school. The guidance department assured the presence of countless representatives from varied institutions. Some of the schools that set up tables were Fairleigh Dickinson University, William Paterson, Montclair State University, New Jersey City University, Penn State, Rutgers Newark, Seton Hall, Bergen Community College, and many more.
These colleges offer many different courses of study, each with various levels of popularity. Some of these schools are public, while others are private. Some specialize in specific fields, like John Jay School of Criminal Justice, while others have a multitude of courses that you can appreciate. At the fair there were schools to reach the interests of all from art schools to technological schools, and beauty schools to acting schools.
Be sure to take advantage of this college fair every year, not just when you’re a junior or senior. The more times you attend the fair, the more opportunities you have to speak with the schools’ representatives and start deciding which institution you may want to apply to during your senior year. There truly is a college out there for everyone, so seniors, make the most of these last few months and apply to your dream school!
