Junior Class Ring Night 2018
Class rings have been a tradition in many high schools for generations, and this is true for North Arlington High School as well. The members of the junior class of 2020 had the opportunity to design their own individual pieces of class jewelry last year in anticipation of receiving them at the Ring Night ceremony this year. Mr. Blackford and Mrs. Slane, the junior class advisors, hosted the ceremony recently in the school cafeteria. Parents and friends from all around were invited to watch the ceremony, and the students were called up by name to receive their class jewelry at last.
Once everyone was given their box, everyone was instructed to open them at the same time. The students were ecstatic to finally see the jewelry they had designed, taking as many pictures as they could. The tradition of turning rings continues this year, and each junior was encouraged to have the 20 most important people in their life turn their ring for good luck. Afterwards, the students and their families enjoyed refreshments and buzzed eagerly around to see the new rings. Overall, Ring Night is a charming tradition and we are happy to celebrate the first step toward graduation every year with the ring ceremony. Thank you to the junior class advisors, the class of 2020 executive board, and the administration for making this event possible!
