The Chalice of the Gods by Rick Riordan is a fantasy-adventure book that follows the adventures of Percy Jackson. The Chalice of the Gods is the sixth book in the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This book has picked up where the series had left off fourteen years ago and although it may not seem relatable, it can be in many different ways.
The plot depicts Percy Jackson’s quest trying to get college recommendation letters from the Gods. He has to do certain quests based on what the gods ask. Along the way, he also has to keep up with his schoolwork. Luckily, he has two of his old friends Grover Underwood and Annabeth Chase to help him out. Throughout the novel, he has to complete his first quest to find a special goblet. Zeus’s cup-bearer gives them this quest.
The primary conflict in this storyline shows Percy trying to get into his dream college. Like many Juniors and Seniors in America, he has to keep his grades up while simultaneously performing other activities that will make him a good candidate for his dream school. This book is nostalgic for some who have read Percy Jackson in their young years. The Chalice of the Gods has become a huge hit for all of these reasons and it is recommended as an awesome reading choice.
