The 2014-2015 cheerleading season has finally begun. As some of the readers may already know, the competition team is striving to go to Disney World in Florida for a competition this upcoming February. This takes lots of effort and dedication from the team. Fundraising plays a pivotal role in the road to Florida. The girls, parents, and Coach Ms. Demetroules, put a lot of energy into “canning”, car washes, etc. The team has worked diligently at practice, some girls having “double sessions” because of football cheering.

Both mental and physical strength are crucial in being capable of managing academics, extra-curricular activities, having family time, and taking a part in a sport like cheerleading. The competition cheerleading team hopes to accomplish their main goal which is to win nationals! It looks easy, but as soon as you go behind the scenes, you see the heart and commitment that the girls put into this team.
