
The second round of the NFL playoffs began the weekend of January 18 and 19. This was the division round weekend with teams that passed the wild card round by either winning or receiving a bye. There were two games on Saturday, and two on Sunday. There was one AFC game and one NFC game on Saturday, on Sunday there was another AFC game and another NFC game. The winners of this past weekend moved on to the Conference Championship to take place next Sunday, January 26.
On January 18, the games played included the Texans, Chiefs, Commanders, and Lions. The AFC game was the Houston Texans playing the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs won 23-14 and will move on to play in the AFC Conference Championships on Sunday, January 26. The other game was the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The Commanders won 45-31 and will move on to play in the NFC Conference Championship on Sunday, January 26.
The next day, January 19, the two games were played by the Rams, Eagles, Ravens, and Bills. The Buffalo Bills played the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium, in Buffalo, New York. Buffalo won 27-25 and moved on to play in the AFC Conference Championship on Sunday, January 26. The fourth game was the Los Angeles Rams competing against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Eagles won 28-22 and moved on to play in the NFC Conference Championships on the 26.
The divisional round of the playoffs has ended leaving four teams left for the Conference Championships on January 26. On the NFC side, the Commanders play the Eagles at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Then, on the AFC side, the Bills are playing the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. These games are the deciding factor of which teams head on to the Super Bowl. After these close games this past weekend, the games will only get tougher. One team from each division will come out on top and get their chance to become a Super Bowl Winner.
