The Flapjack Fundraiser that was held on April 20th, 2013 at the Applebees in Kearny and it was a huge success! There were many families, friends, students, and faculty members who were a part of this fundraiser which allowed the NSH to raise an estimate amount of $1,000 dollars. All the proceeds are going towards Relay for Life which will be taking place next month. Everyone who attended the breakfast was both greeted and served by our very own National Honor Society members. Rebecca Filgueiras, President of the National Honor Society stated, “It’s always a nice event that always has a good turnout!”
The NHS served pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs with your choice of a drink such as, tea or coffee. In addition, Mr. Manuppelli, our high school principal, dressed up as our mascot, the Viking, and truly demonstrated our Viking spirit! Both students and teachers were impressed with this breakfast. Rachel Fanaro, member of NHS said, “The food was really good and it was all for a good cause!” Overall, the pancake breakfast was both a fun and successful event! Thanks to all who participated!
