Prom is the gathering of high school students both junior and senior classmates who are joined together in a night filled with dancing, laughing, and memories that will last forever. The prom took place on Friday, May 10th, 2013 at Il Villaggio beginning with the cocktail hour at 6:30 pm. Gabriella Pietronico stated, “The food at cocktail hour was delicious as well as the salmon at dinner.” Another set of doors opened at 8:00 pm to an enormous room which had the DJ, lights, and most importantly, the dance floor! Throughout the evening, everyone danced the night away, enjoyed their meals, took pictures in the photo booth, and was treated to a scrumptious dessert which included a chocolate fountain, ice cream, and cotton candy.

Mackenzie Cutruzzula, president of the senior class stated, “It was so wonderful to see our hard work come together! It really was a special night!” Later, the prom court was announced! The junior court consisted of Cara Dlugo, Shawna Claffey, Theresa Capo, Brittany Ryan, Andrew Hays, Ryan McDonald, Thai Scott, and Diego Coya.  Theresa Capo stated, “It was an honor to get on prom court and I couldn’t imagine prom in any other way!” The senior court was Alexandria Jakiel, Rebecca Filgueiras, Mary Smykowski, Micaela Quintero, Bruno Ferreira, Carmelo DeJesus, AJ Nocciolo, and Chris Pastino. The prom queen and king were Diana Correia and Jimmy Cedola. Overall, the prom was an evening that everyone will look back on and remember all the wonderful memories.
