It’s October, and that usually means colder nights, seeing the warm colors of autumn everywhere, pumpkin-spiced lattes, and preparing for Halloween. When people think about October and Halloween, the first things that come to mind are costumes and loads of candy waiting to be eaten. However, there is one more thing that is part of this iconic month, and this is the endless, scary movies to be watched to get that good old Halloween feel. For many years, we have been watching scary movies during the month of October, since this is when a wide variety of them could be found all over the television. These movies have gradually become a Halloween tradition to most people, and this tradition is usually carried out in the warm comfort of home. Nothing is better than watching an old scary movie that you grew up with once again while relaxing at home, but is watching it alone the most fun way to do it?
This is where Movie Night in North Arlington High School kicks in to break the cycle of watching movies all by yourself. On Tuesday, October 29th, S.A.D.D. and interact club gave students the chance to get together, eat some treats, and watch Hocus Pocus with school friends. There was also absolutely delicious food to enjoy while watching a film in the company of a friend instead of alone on your living room couch. Why wouldn’t anyone be excited to be a part of it all? Countless Vikings grabbed their blankets, popcorn, and Halloween spirit and truly cherished the evening! If you did not have an opportunity to attend this year’s Halloween Movie Night, be sure to join us next year!
