On December 23rd, North Arlington High School participated in Save the Children’s “Make the World Better with a Sweater”. Students were able to abandon their uniform shirt for the day and wear a sweater in exchange for $1. A friendly contest was made of the sweater day for the most festive and the ugliest sweater. Students were encouraged to get creative and turn a typical sweater into something festive and unique! The Multicultural Advocacy Club sponsored this incredible event. The turnout was amazing as you saw different festive sweaters walking down the hall.
What better way to celebrate the holiday season than to give back and support children who cannot speak for themselves? Save the Children is devoted to providing children the opportunity to strive in a healthy atmosphere. In turn, they are given the brightest of futures. These children are our future. In several years, these children will become our doctors, teachers, law officials, and even our President. By donating to this foundation, you are not only helping the children get a fresh start, but you are brightening your future and the future of the generations to come.
Just because the holidays are over, it doesn’t mean that we should stop trying to make our world a better place.
