Trip to Medieval Times
After learning about the adventures of Don Quixote in Spanish class, a trip to Medieval Times was arranged. The trip was justified as the story was about an older man named Don Quixote who imagined himself as a knight upholding the code of chivalry in a time after the Middle Ages. There were about 50 eager students who attended the trip on December 1.
Upon arrival, everyone was seated in the blue lit rows of the arena. Soon, the show started and food was immediately served. A regular meal consisted of chicken, corn on the cob, garlic bread, and roasted potato with soda or water on the side. Throughout the show, there were quite a few stunts involving the knights jumping off of their horses and jousting/dueling. A live falcon even flew overhead at one point during a small horse show. The trip was enjoyed by all of the students. Thank you to Mrs. Murad for organizing the trip and all teachers who chaperoned.
