Mamma Mia! It’s already February, which means it’s time for NAHS to start rehearsing for the annual play. This year our director, Mrs. Branco, has decided to put on Mamma Mia. On January 10, auditions were held to discover talented people with amazing skills, to make this year’s show absolutely spectacular!

As a member of the drama club for many years, I’ve been to my share of auditions. Although they can be scary, drama club is an amazing opportunity that is open to all. Even if you don’t get the lead, you might get a supporting role, or end up in the ensemble. All students who audition have a chance to show off their skills, and everyone plays a part in putting the show together.

If singing and acting aren’t your forte, you can always help out backstage by joining the stage crew. The crew is responsible for making and painting the sets, and helps out with the lights and props. The sheer amount of their effort is astounding, and without their help, the play would not be as successful.
