The Fall Pep Rally took place on October 7, 2024. All North Arlington High School students gathered to celebrate the fall sports. Before the pep rally started, students from each grade level were called to decorate the gym. The seniors chose a theme of surfing into senior year, the juniors chose a Disney Halloween theme, the sophomores chose a pumpkin patch theme, and the freshmen chose a Vikings theme of blue and black. It was a great way to start the school year!
There were some changes in how the pep rally was conducted. This year, entire teams were called down instead of calling each athlete from the stands. The athletes were announced and spotlighted while on the floor with their team. This process saved time as there were many athletes and allowed more time for other activities. Another new addition was a tunnel; instead of the human-made senior tunnel, a blow-up tunnel was bought for the seniors to run through. All the senior athletes signed the tunnel after the pep rally.
Furthermore, this year’s Fall Pep Rally was also more interactive. There were new games, such as following the choreography of our cheerleaders and a sing-off between the classes. The game of following the cheerleaders showed the difficulty of what our cheerleaders do every day. The sing-off was decided by which class sang the loudest. The freshmen were victorious in the sing-off. The new and unique games made the Fall Pep Rally more exciting and enjoyable!
This pep rally was a noteworthy success. The students enjoyed it more because of the engaging activities. It was an entertaining time including the games, watching the cheerleaders and cheering for the fall sports teams. Everyone agreed that the decorations were outstanding.
