Robert Gratson is an exceptional artist in the eyes of many. He has a very different style when compared to many others, but it makes him quite unique. Robert is a senior in North Arlington high school, a senior with very good artistic ability. Robert has been drawing since he was a toddler. He wasn’t the best but it was something he enjoyed, especially as a child, and it seemed to have stuck with him. His ability obviously improved as he got older and before he knew it, he became the artist he is today.

Robert’s favorite styles of art include Gore, Horror, and Gothic. He usually finds his inspiration in music, looking at other art, watching horror movies, everyday things that stand
out to him, anything out of the ordinary, and especially things that in today’s environment would be considered “taboo.” When asked about his favorite artist, Robert stated, “I look into everyone’s art.” Some of his favorite mediums are acrylics, pastel, and graphite.

Robert loves art. He sees it as a way to express himself and as a way to relieve his stress. “It’s like Zen, it puts me in a certain state of mind” said Robert. Robert also stated, “I wish to
change the world with it one day.” Robert is indeed a unique and talented artist — many hope to see his one-of-a-kind drawings in settings other than in the
classroom.
