Diana Correia is an exceptional senior at North Arlington High School. In addition to being in various AP and honors classes, Diana is ranked number one in her class. She is has also been involved in the school’s volleyball and soccer teams. Diana had this to say about her favorite sport, “I love soccer; it’s an important part of my culture.” She is also going to be a part of NAHS’s first ever crew team. Adding to this, Diana is also Editor of the yearbook, Wardrobe Manager in the drama crew, Secretary of the Student Council, fundraiser for her class executive board, Co-vice president of both SADD and the Spanish Honor Society. She is even involved in the National Honor Society and MENTOR program.
Next year, Diana hopes to attend Boston University, Northeastern University, or Georgetown University. Her desired major is business because “business can be applied anywhere – whether it’s at a bank or helping to publish a novel.” When Diana can manage to muster up some spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music and watch movies. Diana admires the esteemed author, J.K. Rowling because “She started from nothing, only writing so she could take care of her family. Now, she’s a well-established and famous author and it hasn’t changed her.”
Diana lives by the words of Robert Brault, “Enjoy the little things, for one day you make look back and realize they were the big things.” When asked what advice she would give to her freshman self, she gave the following as an answer, “No matter what anyone says, you will stress and sweat the small stuff. But that doesn’t mean that you have to do it 24/7.” Diana is truly one of the best North Arlington High School has to offer and we wish her nothing but luck in all she does in the future, not that she will need it.
