Brittany Schalago is a senior at N.A.H.S. and is one of the most artistic students in the senior class. She has been drawing and painting her entire life, and she enjoys doing so immensely. She says her mentor for art is teacher Mrs. DuJack. She has been taking art as a class in high school for 3 years. Recently, Brittany painted Principal Mr. Manuppelli for a pop art project.
Brittany has maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout her 4 years at N.A.H.S. She also has been on the honor roll every marking period since her freshman year. She played basketball for 2 years in high school and has a varsity letter in the sport. She is attending Bergen Community College for 2 years; then hopes to attend Rutgers University for her last 2 years of college and major in psychology.
Brittany enjoys hanging out with her friends, painting and drawing during her free time. She also has a part time job at the newly opened Corrado’s in town. Her favorite musical artists include The Roots, Circa Survive, and Bayside. She enjoys listening to music because it is calming to her. She is sad that she is leaving high school in a few months, but is excited for what’s to come in the future.
Fun fact: Brittany is one of the few students in the senior class to complete all her schooling in North Arlington; she was in the child care program when she was 3, and attended grades K-12 in N.A. schools. Brittany is an outstanding person and student and is sure to succeed in the future.
