Ariana Giler Iniguez is one of North Arlington High School’s brightest students. Before moving to North Arlington during her sophomore year, Ariana lived in West New York. There she began her track and field career. Ariana is an all-around student, being a member of Indoor and Outdoor track and field, Cross Country, the yearbook club, and culinary club. She also participates in the Work Based Learning Information Program (Senior Internship) and is secretary of the Spanish honor society.
Ariana is currently a varsity player and captain for all of her sports. She believes that sports are a very important part of high school. This is because of the opportunities for friendship and learning to be a team player. As captain, Ariana has learned to take responsibility and lead her teams to success. She leads by example and learns from her mistakes. Every morning she wakes up hoping to help others in need. She goes out of her way to address others’ needs before her own.
Even after all of the extracurriculars Ariana is involved in, she makes time to give back to her community. Ariana enjoys volunteering at hospitals, churches, and senior centers. She enjoys being a teacher’s aide for her church, cooking for senior citizens, and working in a hospital. She also volunteers at the Elks Lodge and babysits young children. Ariana’s favorite course is Biology. This is because it is her dream to become a doctor.
After graduating from high school Ariana is planning to attend college but is still unsure where that will be. After graduation, Ariana will be missed by her teachers, classmates, and teammates–We wish her the best of luck!
