This week’s spotlight is on Mrs. Davey and Mrs. Rossmell. As many of you know, they are the secretaries in the main office of North Arlington High School. Mrs. Davey has been at our school for 19 years. She went to Harrison High School and has a background in computer programming. She enjoys reading and shopping. When asked if there is something people would be surprised to know about her, she stated, “I am very silly.” She also said that she is very tolerant. A typical day for her would be coming to NAHS to work all day and then going home to make dinner for her family.
Mrs. Rossmell has been at NAHS for 8 years but she’s been working in this school district for 24 years. She went to Queen of Peace High School. She loves to read, cook and spend time with her family. She stated, “I would also consider homemaking a hobby because it gives me so much joy.” Something interesting about Mrs. Rossmell is that she was the school secretary when Mr. Kenny, our Assistant Principal was in Washington School. She also added “He was my favorite announcer.” When I asked Mrs. Rossmell what a typical day was like for her, she explained how after 24 years she realized that working a day in a school would never be typical. The students are her first priority and there’s a lot of paperwork as well.
Mrs. Davey and Mrs. Rossmell both work very diligently, and enjoy coming to North Arlington High School every morning – this is certainly reflected on the great job that they do every day.
