During the Holiday season, the SADD and Interact Club was busy doing many different charitable activities. One of them would be writing and answering the letters from the neighborhood children telling them to keep an eye out for the big man- “Santa” himself. Project manager, Michael Kakar, put a group together to answer those adorable letters pretending as if they truly Santa truly take it upon himself to complete the task. This project was extremely important to the club advisor, Ms. McEntee. When asked why, she replied with a smile, “Reading these innocent letters from all the children really gets to me and if we could keep their creativity and imagination alive even for just a little bit then I believe we’ve done our job.”
The group worked hard every day after school trying to answer each and every last letter. Every member got deeply involved in creating this image of how the big man from the North Pole would have been like. “A ‘shout out’ to Shaira Cruz for coming to every Santa letter meeting and truly stepping up and acting like a co-leader,” stated Michael Kakar. All in all, The SADD and Interact Club answered all the letters that they received and make more children excited for the holiday season.
