Hayden’s Heart
The 4th Annual Hayden’s Heart 5K Walk/Run took place on Saturday, March 19th in Riverside County Park. The goal of this 5K is to honor the late Hayden Dorsett by raising awareness about Congenital Heart Defects and helping all affected families. This type of heart defect is the leading cause of infant deaths in the United States. Having a child with CHD takes a toll on the whole family, as it is financially and emotionally draining.
Hayden’s Heart is a non-profit organization that is able to provide families with financial, as well as emotional support through volunteer events and donations. This year, much of the North Arlington community participated in the 5K. Many runners from NAHS competed, eager to gain their spot in the top 100 and win a medal. In addition to the runners, there were many volunteers who helped make the day successful
If you were not able to attend, be sure to visit www.haydensheart.org and find out how you can volunteer your time and make donations.
