On January 18, 2024 the Vikings and our community came together to welcome select members from the junior and senior class into the North Arlington chapter of the National Honor Society. The event took place at San Carlo, beginning at 6:00 p.m., and everyone in attendance was high in spirit. This event certainly fulfilled its purpose of honoring students of high academic achievement who are simultaneously involved in their community. 

The night began with speeches from the Viking administration and the president of the National Honor Society, senior Ashley Miranda. Shortly after, Mr. Capriola received the award of being chosen as this year’s honorary inductee voted on by members of National Honor Society. Friends and family enjoyed conversations and a pleasant milieu as they ate dinner before the ceremony took place. The ceremony began with the National Honor Society executive board members reciting the four pillars of character and proceeded with inductees lighting their candle and reciting the pledge. 

All in all, it was a wonderful night of celebration for students who work diligently every day to make their school and community a better place. Congratulations to all new members of the National Honor Society!
