Over spring break, some of our Vikings were given the opportunity to travel to Spain. Students who are members of Spanish Honor Society and AP Spanish class were allowed to travel to Europe to immerse themselves in the language and culture that they have been learning about for years. Along with the students, teachers and parents acted as chaperones. Mrs. Rodriguez organized the entire trip and is the reason this opportunity was available.
Students left from NAHS and spent three days in Barcelona, where they went sightseeing and toured cultural sites. According to an anonymous senior student who attended the trip, “It was so much fun”. After departing Barcelona, they stayed in Madrid where they continued seeing local sites and participated in flamenco dancing lessons, “We had the time of our lives”. Overall, the trip allowed students to create long-lasting memories and learn more about a European country.
Everyone who attended the trip has recounted positive opinions and experiences about their week in Spain. It was an incredible experience for Vikings in the Spanish classes and those who accompanied them. All in all, the trip to Spain was a great experience that will not be forgotten anytime soon.
